Led by multi instrumentalist, world traveler and music educator Alex Weiss, Different Drum bridges the sounds of Africa and the Americas. Since 1992 this versatile ensemble has been performing at events, festivals and schools throughout the Carolina’s and beyond. In 2015 they performed at Fiesta del Fuego the Annual week long international Festival in Santiago, Cuba.

Soulful samba’s, majestic Andean melodies, Light & Lively calypsos, and South African Township are some of the sounds Different Drum weaves into performances.
